Here’s where you can manage speech generation for your AI avatar, from choosing a TTS (text-to-speech) service to launching a custom voice via ElevenLabs. These settings let you adjust voice delivery to ensure your digital assistant provides smooth, intelligible responses across various languages.

As the default TTS option, Genesis Studio utilizes a comprehensive Google TTS engine, offering voice output in more than 20 languages.

Expand the Languages list and select the ones your avatar needs for communication with your target audience (or tick ‘Select All’ at the top of the list to enable them all). Then click Save below.

Each selected language will appear below as a separate drop-down field, where you can play a sample voice message to hear how your avatar sounds. A different standard Google voice is assigned to every language, matched in gender to your chosen avatar.

With upcoming platform updates, the voice selection will be expanded beyond the current defaults, offering multiple options per language.

The selected languages will also become available in the Talk in menu within the Avatar Display section on the right, allowing you to pick one and talk to your avatar in real-time using that language.

Live interaction with your AI avatar through the preview panel is counted toward the conversation minutes included in your subscription and occupies one of the concurrent connection slots allowed by your pricing plan.

How to Launch a Custom AI Voice​

For those seeking a more distinct auditory representation, Genesis Studio provides the ability to connect custom AI-generated speech profiles from ElevenLabs. This enables you to give your avatar a tailored vocal identity that reflects your brand tone and resonates with your audience.

To set this up, choose ElevenLabs from the drop-down menu of available TTS services.

A new input field will appear, where you need to paste the API key from your ElevenLabs dashboard (found under the Developers > API Keys section) and click Apply.

After a successful connection, two additional fields will be shown:

  • Languages - Tick the boxes next to the languages your avatar should speak.
  • Voices - Choose one of the AI voices retrieved from your ElevenLabs account.

Once you're done, click Save to apply the changes to your project. Now your AI avatar will speak in all selected languages with your custom voice from ElevenLabs.
